The environment inspired me to paint this...We are in a very delicate time right now; and now more than ever do we need to focus on the environment. The rising sea levels are depicted in this painting. The vibrant neon of a boat sailing away is foreshadowing what it means to have our life line slip away from us.
I would like to have the viewer slightly perplexed by this painting, and to wonder about the future of humanity.
This style is cubistic and abstract in nature. I chose this because of my feelings towards the news about environmental concerns. The use of pastel gives a juvenile feeling. It is the youth of today that will be fixing the troubles we leave behind for them.
